Key Responsibilities:- Manage and execute the organization's Helpdesk process, responding to urgent and important requests first, while responding to all requests in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, both written and orally.
- Identify Helpdesk trends and propose/implement solutions to reduce recurring issues, including standard work development, root cause investigation, and project planning.
- Actively work to remove obstacles by managing technical resources available internally.
- Provide daily support for backups, Windows updates, and day-to-day security upkeep, as well as responding to issues as they arise.
- Manage consignment inventories to meet customer expectations and overall company goals.
- Make recommendations regarding the purchase of equipment as required.
- Collaborate with the Network Administrator to sustain the health of the network and implement upgrades and improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with technological trends and advances.
- High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's Degree in an IT or related field preferred, but not required, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated desire to learn and stay current with recent trends and technology.
- Software experience: installation, support, and troubleshooting of Windows Servers, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory.
- Hardware experience: PC workstations, servers, and laptops, printers, Cisco switching and routers, and various smart devices.
- Provide support to users of Adobe, Creative Cloud, Solidworks, AutoCAD, miniTab, and Sage FA.
- Preferred experience includes: Linux RedHat, UniVerse, SQL Server, Cisco CUCM, ESXI, and VSphere.
- Solid conceptual understanding of networking.
- Ability to communicate with personnel outside of the IT department to probe for the root cause of an issue and share resolution and troubleshooting details in a communication style appropriate to their technical knowledge.
- Willingness and availability to be on-site between the hours of 7am and 5pm, as well as available intermittently for emergency support.
- Must be able to be insured as an Authorized Driver per the company policy in force.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
