Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Specialist to join our team at Great River Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining computer software and hardware applications for our laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and support clinical software applications
- Oversee software applications and make recommendations for new applications or changes to existing ones
- Monitor legal and regulatory agencies for changes affecting GRHS
- Provide timely customer service via email, telephone, or in person
- Review future products and ensure test of changes before implementation
- Participate in the development of workflows, system configuration, change documentation, communication, optimization, maintenance, testing, validation, implementation, and support of staff on application functionality
- Carry out needed analyses either proactively or in response to user requests
- Work with software vendors, applicable departments, and IS staff to maintain systems interfaces
Requirements:
- Technical or bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Experience with Cerner or other healthcare information systems preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Proficient with Windows Operating Systems preferred
- Project Management skills preferred
- Report writing skills preferred
