The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Adolescent Health, Screenwise & Reproductive Health program in Portland, Oregon has a fantastic career opportunity for a Reproductive Health (RH) Program Contracts and Grant Coordinator (Operations & Policy Analyst 2) to enhance access to high quality reproductive health services by planning and designing funding mechanisms to improve reproductive health services offered across Oregon.

This is a full-time, permanent, classified position which is represented by a union. This recruitment may be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill current or future vacancies.

What will you do?
As the RH Program Contracts and Grant Coordinator, you will be a part of the Operations team within the Reproductive Health Program. This team supports a large and diverse network of clinics and organizations who provide RH services or support access to RH services to people all over Oregon. The RH Program Contracts and Grant Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating the program’s multiple funding opportunities. These include some new and some established grant and contract opportunities that enhance equitable access to Reproductive Health Services across the State. The RH Program Contracts and Grants Coordinator will work within OHA to streamline granting and contracting systems to reduce barriers to funding for external partners, and work to design a granting program that centers racial and health equity. This position will monitor progress towards meeting the grant program’s goals and will work closely with the internal and external partners to improve the effectiveness of the granting program over time.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.

  • Experience utilizing project management skills and developing quality improvement processes and procedures.
  • Experience collaborating with external and internal stakeholders and navigating complex systems to achieve goals.
  • Experience engaging with community partners (e.g., soliciting and incorporating feedback from partners).
  • Demonstrated incorporation of racial and/or health equity principles into program operations.
  • Experience entering and verifying the accuracy of data.
  • Experience providing customer-oriented service with a high degree of diplomacy.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other financial and file management programs.

Working Conditions:

Requires working at computer daily. May require occasional in-state travel with overnight stays and rare out-of-state travel for professional development, training, or participation in trainings relevant to work.

The work of this role may be conducted remotely with full access to the needed operating systems and technology.
