Our Just Future (OJF) is dedicated to combating the systemic issues that perpetuate poverty by fostering relationships and resources that generate opportunities for today and future generations. We collaborate with individuals and communities affected by poverty to help them attain sustainable housing and economic stability.

Key Responsibilities

The Community Programs Manager will oversee the Community Programs for Social Justice (CPSJ) Rapid Rehousing (RRH) Program, ensuring effective operations of OJF's Housing First Programs. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating a collaborative learning environment that assesses program and staff performance, encouraging teamwork and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Recruiting, supervising, and supporting a team of 8-10 staff members, including Housing Specialists and Peer Supports, ensuring they have the necessary resources to excel.
  • Facilitating comprehensive training for new hires and ongoing professional development for existing staff.
  • Coordinating team meetings, case conferencing, and educational classes for program participants.
  • Ensuring services are delivered in a welcoming, trauma-informed, and culturally competent manner.
  • Managing relationships with funders and community partners, overseeing program contracts and budgets.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Community Programs and other managers on the annual budgeting process and maintaining accurate financial tracking.
  • Assisting in grant applications and reporting, while maintaining productive relationships with external stakeholders.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in supervising diverse teams.
  • Experience in managing government contracts and ensuring compliance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of housing services for individuals experiencing homelessness and the social issues contributing to poverty.
  • Ability to implement program processes and manage large budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on trauma-informed interactions.
