Description:

  • Lead Production/Application Support Consultant for Financial Services Client
  • Focus on releases, POC's in prod support are lacking knowledge. Pull in strong candidates who can lead Prod Support not doing just surface fix. Do due diligence, root cause of each ticket. Understand complexities of certain fixes.
  • Most of the job is completing recurring tickets and a third of the job is working on adhoc tickets
  • See problem during close, is the issue adhoc or a defect. If defect, move to team backlog and prioritize and fix.
  • Strong candidate who can lead this area of work, identify issue, defect, not just do what they're told
  • Running validations on daily basis, see issue (run message queue from SimCorp), open JIRA ticket, if it's a re-occurring issue, go into SimCorp, do fix. 2/3 of tickets are re-occurring (complexities are different). 1/3 of tickets are adhoc (should we do fix or not - have a certain SimCorp knowledge but also accounting / business knowledge).
  • Resource to help with business fixes (accounting differences through accounting business validation) bad data coming in, data correction, reprocessing of events in Simcorp that generate accounting entries.
  • Research why there are breaks in reconciliation, breaks in validation. Able to understand data format setup configuration and data extract functionality in SimCorp. Familiarity with MBS product in SimCorp. ABoR (accounting book of record - subledger) be able to understand source of break and working from there
  • SQL is handy but not necessary if they know SimCorp data extraction tool.
  • tickets monthly.
  • Functioning like a product owner would be a huge help or PM skills would be helpful.
  • Communicate status / challenges to customer would be helpful.
  • Ability to document in JIRA - what is root cause, short term and long term solution, do we have an existing defect ticket logged. Ability to multi-task and stay organized. Condense 100 tickets into 3 or 4 categories.
  • Deep understanding of SimCorp and/or Loan Accounting side of business.
