Role of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer plays a crucial role in crafting and executing detailed testing strategies, cases, and scenarios throughout the product development lifecycle. This position involves utilizing automation and system identification techniques to pinpoint, document, and prioritize software defects and issues. Close collaboration with key business and technical stakeholders is essential to investigate and resolve these challenges, ensuring adherence to engineering standards. The role also includes assessing technical risks in software through innovative ideation and solution development, with readiness to create automations, performance tests, integration, or unit tests to facilitate agile testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement thorough test plans, cases, and scenarios based on product or feature specifications.
  • Work alongside cross-functional scrum teams to grasp project objectives and deliver superior software solutions.
  • Identify, document, and manage software issues, collaborating with engineers for resolution.
  • Establish and enhance software testing methodologies, automations, and best practices to guarantee code quality and scalability.
  • Evaluate technical risks through automation, integration, or system test outcomes.
  • Create performance and load testing suites to identify scalability and resilience challenges.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to developers regarding software usability and functionality.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies, applying them to enhance software development processes.
  • Document and develop standard methods or procedures to assess product quality and readiness for release.
  • Conduct various testing types, including unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
  • Develop supplementary software to ensure quality and consistency in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Offer technical support and assistance to resolve user-reported issues.
  • Utilize version control tools like Git to monitor changes in the codebase.
  • Coordinate user and/or third-party testing of software.
  • Ensure testing frameworks and cases comply with security and data protection standards.
  • Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures that support a service-oriented mindset.
  • Manage timeline expectations across teams, delivering on responsibilities effectively.
  • Build trust with team members and managers by consistently embodying CAVA's values.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering and digital product delivery.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with current QA technologies and tools.
  • 3+ years of exposure to QA tooling, including:
  • Accessibility: WCAG 2.0, Level Access, Axe DevTools, TalkBack, VoiceOver
  • Cross-Browser: Browserstack, LambdaTest
  • Testing: WebdriverIO, Cypress, Apium, Cucumber, Postman, Jest, ESLint
  • Performance: Loadster, JMeter
  • Familiarity with devops tools such as Jira, Zephyr, CircleCI, or similar.
  • Knowledge of modern analytics and marketing tools like Firebase, GA4, Braze, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, operations, and metrics.
  • Ability to link processes to solutions and anticipate challenges.
  • Effectively applies new knowledge.
  • Balances immediate customer needs with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborates with management on conflicting objectives.
