Basic Duties
As a Commercial Engine Shop Technician, you'll be at the forefront of repairing, overhauling, maintaining, and troubleshooting power generation equipment. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction, and you'll be responsible for:
- Performing troubleshooting and repairs on engine-generators and associated accessory equipment.
- Conducting routine maintenance and overhauls of engine-generators as needed.
- Collaborating with the service office to plan and execute work orders efficiently.
- Assisting with the removal, transportation, and handling of large equipment as required.
- Providing outstanding customer service and assisting in preparing repair quotes.
Qualifications
To thrive in this exciting opportunity, we look for the following qualifications:
- A minimum 2-year degree from an accredited Diesel Engine Technology Program or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical service work.
- PC skills with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred).
- An outstanding positive attitude that shines through in all interactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with the team and customers.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required for the job.
- The ability to respond quickly and accurately to signals and adjust controls with precision.
- A clean driving record with a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
As a Commercial Engine Shop Technician, you will engage in hands-on work, involving extensive standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 70 lbs. Safety is our priority, and we will provide appropriate safety equipment, including safety glasses or side shields, and hearing protection when necessary.
