The Employee Connect is seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Addison, IL. As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will provide project management and technical leadership in delivering automation systems for various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management and technical leadership in delivering automation systems
  • Develop and implement control system architectures, select components, and detail schematic diagrams and system documentation
  • Design and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery that meet customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of controls hardware, including control panel design, UL508A familiarity, motor control centers, hazardous area panel design, and industrial instrumentation
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical guidance
  • Perform project management roles, including developing project execution plans, work breakdown structures, and associated budgets, as well as task prioritization and scheduling
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Greater than 10 years of experience in design of electrical schematics, including power distribution, hazardous location control system design, and surge protection
  • Extensive experience in control panel production process, including FLA, heating/cooling, and SCCR calculations
  • Functional understanding of PLC hardware/software platforms, HMI/SCADA hardware/software platforms, and DCS hardware/software platforms
  • Experience in industries such as Water/Wastewater Treatment, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Oil & Gas, and Mining
  • Experience leading a team of engineers/technicians to provide control system solutions
  • Professional references from a subordinate, a peer, and a manager
Working Environment:

The Employee Connect offers a standard office environment, on-site office environment, and diverse industrial environments. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to travel up to 25% around the Chicago area with occasional out-of-state travel to surrounding states.
