Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sterling Engineering, Inc. as a key member of our manufacturing operations. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment, maximizing efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on industrial manufacturing equipment, with a focus on injection molding machines.
  • Troubleshoot and identify issues with plant-supporting equipment, such as compressors, chillers, and electrical systems.
  • Maintain and repair secondary operation equipment, including conveyors, labelers, liners, inspection, and packaging machinery.
  • Document trouble calls and work from work orders accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Utilize technical manuals, specifications, blueprints, schematics, and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, with a strong background in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in injection molding maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Compliance with job-specific personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
