This position is located in the Office of Investment and Innovation (OII).

OII promotes small business and startup investment and innovation by providing access to capital, networks, and assistance critical for businesses to incubate, expand and sustain.

OII partners with Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs), Innovation Accelerator Networks, Universities, and the SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research)/STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer Program community).

Deal with complex accounting and financial issues and is responsible for determining the appropriate methodologies for analyzing them.

Coordinate and execute the Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) leverage commitment, interim lending, and public funding processes for debentures within the agency and with the private sector.

Collaborate in the management of the servicing function for public SBIC debt to assure that the agency guarantee is fully honored in a timely manner and that the agency's accounting records are accurately maintained.

Collaborate in the duties associated with processing the issuance of SBIC debenture leverage.

Reconcile and oversee payment of fees that support the SBIC program as well as calculation and payment of principal and interest from SBICs.
