Job Overview

Marathon TS is seeking a skilled Financial Planning Analyst to assist our client in effectively managing their budgetary processes. The Financial Planning Analyst (Mid-level) plays a crucial role in collecting budgetary requirements from senior management to prepare the office's annual financial plans, monitoring tools, and budget forecasts. This position may also involve specialized tasks that require relevant experience as detailed in the job scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engages in the formulation and execution of the office's financial policies and projections for various program activities;
  • Accountable for examining and reconciling financial data, ensuring accuracy against internal documentation;
  • Tracks spending and account balances, assisting in the development of analyses to propose adjustments in funding and budget strategies, while emphasizing the potential effects of these recommendations on programs and projects;
  • Delivers monthly reports and tracking documents to the Budget Team Lead;
  • Supports the program manager in ensuring timely documentation and completion of Quarterly Accruals and Auto-DE obligation actions;
  • Collaborates with the team to provide support, insights, guidance, and recommendations regarding the budgeting process to other personnel, both verbally and in writing;
  • Assists with additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, internet navigation, email communication, and database management.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Holds an active SECRET level security clearance.
