Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Develop and maintain processes to monitor and track contract mandates, deliverables, and contract receivables.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly or quarterly vouchers to government funders, ensuring timely submission of all vouchers and related compliance reports.
  • Budgeting: Coordinate with the Director of Budgets in developing contract budgets and budget justification.
  • Compliance: Assist with government contract audits and compliance as required.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare variance analysis for quarterly budget meetings with senior management and program managers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Accounting or Finance degree
  • Experience: 3+ years of non-profit grant budgeting/accounting experience from a public accounting firm, consulting firm, or in-house at another non-profit organization
  • Skills: Strong Excel skills and experience with New York City or New York State grants/contracts
