The project:

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking grant compliance manager -rail/infrastructure to join our established and growing team in New York.

You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
You will be the relationship owner and primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities.
You will be responsible for key client relationship management, and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.

You'll be responsible for:

Grant Proposal Development

Proposal Development: Assisting in the development and preparation of grant proposals, ensuring all submissions are well-researched, comprehensive, and align with grantor requirements.

Grant Compliance and Monitoring

Compliance Assurance: Ensuring the grant-funded project comply with the terms and conditions of the grant, including regulatory and organizational requirements.
Monitoring and Reporting: Establishing and maintaining effective monitoring and reporting systems to track grant performance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Data Analysis and Financial Management

Data-Driven Insights: Evaluating financial and performance data from the grant-funded project to identify trends, monitor progress, and ensure efficient use of funds.
Financial Oversight: Providing detailed financial analysis and support in budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting for grant-funded projects.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Support

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working collaboratively with program managers, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support and compliance for all grant activities.
Stakeholder Training and Guidance: Providing ongoing training and guidance to staff and stakeholders on grant management, compliance requirements, and best practices.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements in grant management and compliance, developing and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Innovation in Practices: Staying informed about the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in grant analysis and management, applying new insights to improve organizational practices.

Risk Management and Audit Readiness

Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential risks related to grant compliance and financial management, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
Audit Preparedness: Ensuring readiness for internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records, documentation, and transparent reporting of grant activities.

Reporting and Documentation

Comprehensive Reporting: Preparing and presenting detailed reports on grant performance, compliance, and financial status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Accurate Documentation: Maintaining meticulous records and documentation of all grant-related activities, ensuring compliance and ease of access for audits and reviews.

Environmental Responsibility

Sustainable Practices: Collaborating towards the goal of net zero carbon transition, identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions in grant-funded projects.

Strategic Contribution

Strategic Alignment: Contributing to the strategic alignment of grant initiatives with organizational goals, ensuring that grant activities support and advance the overall mission and objectives of the organization.
Outcome Evaluation: Evaluating the outcomes of grant-funded projects, providing insights and recommendations for future grant applications and project implementations.

You'll need to have:

Proven experience in reporting, data analysis, and presentation development.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Suite, MS Project, Primavera P6 Scheduling Software).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders.
Authorization to work in the United States.

You'll also have:

Bachelor's degree in finance, business management, or a related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience in grant management for federally funded multibillion dollar capital construction projects, programs, and/or portfolios.
Experience in the construction Industry.
Experience working with NJT, MNRR, LIRR, NYCT, and MTA
