Therapeutic Editing Associate Scientist


Job Description:

Come join the rapidly expanding Gene Editing team at Eli Lilly We are responsible for inventing, characterizing, and advancing novel genome editing reagents for a myriad of clinical applications. Our team works cross-functionally within our organization across multiple disease areas and platforms. Our goal is to deliver on the promise of gene editing to patients around the world.

Job Responsibilities:

Work with members of the Liver Translational Editing team to drive forward new and existing therapeutic programs.Work cross functionally across the Gene Editing team with clear and open communication.Perform and analyze gene editing screening experiment (i.e. CRISPR) with in vitro models. Familiarity with in vivo models is a plus.Maintain detailed documentation of scientific work in an electronic notebook.Deliver data with clear expectations of timelines to multiple teamsPerform R&D on novel assays to bring in new technologies to the broader teamBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in biology or a related field.Additional Skills/Preferences:2+ years of relevant laboratory experienceStrong organizational skillsExperienced in molecular biology, including, PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, protein analysis (WES, JESS, Western Blot, ELISA)Experienced in RNA/DNA/Protein extraction from tissues and cells.Familiarity in Amplicon-Seq NGS library preparation, quantification, and QC is preferredExperience with Benchling is preferred.Experience with primary cell culture is a plus.Experience with automation is a plus (Mantis, Integra systems, Liquid Handlers, etc).Additional Information:This role may require up to 10-15% travel for conferences or training.The position is located at 215 First St, Cambridge, MA 02142, and will be relocating to 15 Necco St, Boston, MA Full time (40 hours/week).
