Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand the Nucleic Acid team within the organization.
  • Assess strategic research initiatives related to nucleic acids, lipid nanoparticles, and innovative gene delivery or editing systems.
  • Conduct and supervise personal experimental research as well as the work of associated scientists.
  • Ensure the smooth integration of new business ventures into the existing operations.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Research and Development, preferably within an industrial context.
  • A PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in leading an R&D team, ideally in an industrial setting.
  • Expertise in complex parenteral formulations, including microparticles, polymeric nanoparticles, lipid nanoparticles, polymeric implants, liposomes, and micelles.
  • A demonstrated history of innovation in the field, ideally supported by a robust publication record.
