Position Overview

We invite you to explore the opportunity to join Biogen's esteemed Translational Medicine Biomarkers Imaging team. This role is pivotal in advancing our innovative molecular imaging research initiatives, focusing on the development and assessment of radiotracers and methodologies essential for drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Assess the pharmacological properties of lead small molecules through in-vitro and in-vivo studies utilizing diverse molecular imaging techniques.
  • Employ radiolabeled compounds, including [3H] and [18F], to conduct molecular pharmacology evaluations.
  • Perform in-vitro and ex-vivo radioligand binding assays for plate-based and autoradiographic brain imaging.
  • Process human and rodent tissues, including cryostat brain slicing and homogenate preparation for protein target isolation.
  • Develop and refine assays and methodologies for plate-based and ex-vivo brain imaging investigations.
  • Engage in animal handling, including brain dissection and administration of compounds or radioisotopes.
  • Utilize target identification techniques such as immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence.
  • Present findings at team meetings and internal forums to foster collaborative discussions.
