What will you be doing in this role?
The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II), Vascular Program, will follow established practices, policies, and guidelines, provides clerical and administrative support/duties while handling high volume of patient coordination and complex scheduling in the licensed clinics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Duties may include answering incoming telephone calls; scheduling and authorization for appointments, coordination of imaging and other ancillary services; patient check-out and rescheduling of follow-up appointments; training for new PSRs, insurance verification functions; chart/medical records, preparation; schedule.
These responsibilities include:
- Answering and triaging calls- directing to appropriate individuals or departments.
- Scheduling and authorization for appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services.
- Perform insurance verification functions.
- Process and track all incoming and outgoing referrals.
- Sorting and deposition of mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations following Cedars-Sinai standards.
- Builds and maintains physician appointment schedule templates in scheduling system.
- Performs courier and transport services, including medications from the pharmacy and returning unused medications to the pharmacy, following policy and guidelines.
- Assist in all work assignments.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 2 + years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
