Role Responsibilities
The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) for the Vascular Program will adhere to established protocols and guidelines, providing essential clerical and administrative support while managing a high volume of patient coordination and intricate scheduling within the licensed clinics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Key responsibilities include:
- Answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate personnel or departments.
- Coordinating scheduling and authorization for appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services.
- Conducting insurance verification processes.
- Managing and tracking all incoming and outgoing referrals.
- Sorting and handling mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations, following Cedars-Sinai standards.
- Building and maintaining physician appointment schedule templates within the scheduling system.
- Providing courier and transport services, including the management of medications from the pharmacy, adhering to policy and guidelines.
- Assisting with various work assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with insurance companies and securing authorizations.
