Role Responsibilities
The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) for the Vascular Program will adhere to established practices, policies, and guidelines while providing clerical and administrative support. This role involves managing a high volume of patient coordination and complex scheduling within the licensed clinics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Key responsibilities include:
- Answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate departments.
- Coordinating scheduling and authorization for appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services.
- Conducting insurance verification processes.
- Managing and tracking all incoming and outgoing referrals.
- Sorting and organizing mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Building and maintaining physician appointment schedule templates within the scheduling system.
- Providing courier and transport services, including handling medications in accordance with policy.
- Assisting with various work assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
Additional Information
This position is categorized under Administrative roles, specifically within Admissions and Registration. The work schedule is primarily during the day, with an 8-hour shift duration. The compensation for this role is competitive.
