Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative II to join our team in the licensed clinics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional clerical and administrative support, while handling high volumes of patient coordination and complex scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answering and Triage: Respond to incoming calls, directing patients to the appropriate individuals or departments.
  • Scheduling and Authorization: Schedule and authorize appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services, ensuring seamless coordination with our medical teams.
  • Insurance Verification: Perform thorough insurance verification functions to ensure accurate billing and patient coverage.
  • Referral Management: Process and track all incoming and outgoing referrals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Mail and Patient Information: Sort and deposit mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations, adhering to Cedars-Sinai standards.
  • Scheduling System Management: Build and maintain physician appointment schedule templates in our scheduling system, ensuring efficient and accurate scheduling.
  • Courier and Transport Services: Perform courier and transport services, including medications from the pharmacy and returning unused medications to the pharmacy, following policy and guidelines.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in all work assignments, providing exceptional support to our medical teams and patients.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
