Key Responsibilities
The Patient Care Coordinator II (PCC II) within the Women's Heart Program at the Smidt Heart Institute will adhere to established protocols and guidelines, providing essential clerical and administrative support while managing a high volume of patient interactions and intricate scheduling within the licensed clinics.

Specific duties may encompass:

  • Responding to and triaging incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Coordinating and authorizing appointments, surgical procedures, and ancillary services.
  • Conducting insurance verification processes.
  • Managing and tracking all incoming and outgoing referrals.
  • Sorting and organizing mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations, following Cedars-Sinai standards.
  • Assisting with various work assignments as needed.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with insurance providers and securing authorizations.
