Position Overview

Role Summary: The Patient Care Services Coordinator II is responsible for ensuring a positive experience for patient families at CHLA by executing clerical duties related to answering incoming calls, patient registration, and check-in/out processes, as well as collecting co-pays or deductibles, scheduling, and confirming patient appointments. This role will provide support to counselors and handle financial clearance and authorization tasks, serving as administrative support for designated providers. Close collaboration with assigned providers is essential to ensure follow-up care is effectively managed. Additionally, this position assists in the creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics.

Essential Qualifications: A minimum of one year of experience in a medical front office environment is required, with three or more years in a medical office setting preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable. Exceptional telephone etiquette and the ability to interact effectively with the public are crucial. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Education/Certifications: A high school diploma or GED is required.

Compensation Information

USD $34, USD $56,212.00

CHLA values the unique contributions of each team member.

The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will depend on various factors, including education and experience in the role or industry.

The pay scale provided for this position is generally applicable to candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements outlined in this job description.

Additional compensation may be available for candidates who exceed these qualifications.
