Position Summary
The Culinary Services Associate II (CSA II) plays a vital role in the preparation and presentation of cold meals for patients and special events. This position is essential in maintaining the kitchen areas stocked with necessary supplies at optimal levels. Additionally, the CSA II is responsible for serving cold food items to patients on the tray line. Adherence to safety and sanitation standards is crucial, following regulations set by Title 22, Joint Commission, and OSHA. This role primarily involves working with adult patients.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation - 90%
- Prepares a variety of cold dishes, including salads, sandwiches, and desserts, utilizing food production sheets and patient census data.
Additional Duties - 10%
- Maintains organization and cleanliness within the kitchen.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Commitment to ensuring confidentiality, privacy, and safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
- Possession of a Fire Card.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment.
- One year of experience in the food service industry is preferred.
