Role Responsibilities
The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) within the Women's Heart Program at the Smidt Heart Institute will adhere to established protocols, providing essential clerical and administrative support while managing a high volume of patient coordination and intricate scheduling within the licensed clinics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Scheduling and authorizing appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services.
  • Conducting insurance verification processes.
  • Managing and tracking all incoming and outgoing referrals.
  • Sorting and organizing mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assisting with various work assignments as needed.

Qualifications
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience in working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.

Working Conditions
This position is classified as non-exempt and operates primarily during day shifts, with an 8-hour work duration.
