American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to the success of businesses big and small with the vision to be essential to our customers' businesses every day. GCS provides a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. The Executive Assistant will be a direct report of the Vice President, Control Management.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Executive Administrative Assistant is a critical member of the GCS and Control Management team who provides organizational support and ensures that the team's logistical needs are met, and helps to promote a positive atmosphere and work culture. This position is responsible for administrative support for the Vice President of Control Management. You are seasoned and experienced in handling a wide range of administrative related tasks and be able to work independently and confidently. Building positive relationships, being resourceful and knowing how to navigate large organizations fluidly will also be critical to success in this position.

Organizing and maintaining complex calendars using a high level of tact, influencing and integrity, including scheduling across multiple time zonesCalendar management, including scheduling meetings with various colleagues internally and externallyCoordinating logistics for meetings, including scheduling of conference rooms and technology support as requiredPreparing, reviewing, and processing expense reports, and running expense report approvals, in line with company T&E policy and budgetAssisting with timekeeping and payroll dutiesProviding coverage for other team-based Executive/Administrative Assistants that are on vacation or sick leaveHandling organization charts and team rostersBooking and coordinating travel arrangements including air and hotel bookingsSupporting the scheduling and coordination of events, including room booking, catering, etc.Supporting team administration including job postings, on boarding for new hires, updating distribution lists, setting up group-wide team meetings, coordinating team real estateProcessing of requisitions and other invoices, ordering supplies and handling ticket requestsMinimum Qualifications:Experience supporting senior level executives with large and global organizations, complex calendars, and frequent travelOutstanding organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skillsKeen attention to detail in execution and follow-upDemonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work autonomouslyMust have strong integrity, reliability, and proven ability to handle confidential / critical information with discretionStrong written and verbal communicationProficiency in Microsoft Outlook and WordProficiency in expense and travel management softwarePreferred Qualifications:Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint and Excel Salary Range: $24.05 to $48.10 hourly + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected hourly pay range for this job requisition.
