The Financial Aid Office's focus is to eliminate unnecessary barriers to college access and completion. Our office allows for students to have a streamlined scholarship experience to help them persist and succeed.

Scope of Position/Essential Duties:

Plans, organizes, and controls a function of financial aid such as scholarships or forms processing. Supervises subordinate staff supervisors within department. Supervises, hires, coaches, trains and evaluates performance of staff. Participates in the planning, goal setting, and evaluation of the central scholarship process and operation. Provides leadership and oversight in the preparation, presentation, and implementation of short and long-term departmental goals. Reviews and recommends changes and/or implementation of departmental policies and procedures to increase efficiency of operations and to meet a unified awarding process. Serves as liaison between all university departments and the scholarship office to coordinate the standardization of scholarship administration. Identifies metrics to evaluate efficiencies in fund utilization and suggest operational changes when warranted. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill functions of the position.

**This position will be located in Norman with a flexible and/or part-time remote option possible after required training period.**

Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree, AND:

36 months experience in Financial Aid field

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months experience in lieu of bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months related experience.

Skills:

Knowledge of current federal regulations governing student financial aid. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information. Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students, faculty and staff. Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines. Strong initiative to solve problems.
