Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic financial plans.
  • Analyze financial performance by reviewing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Identify and assess key financial metrics to evaluate profitability, liquidity, and operational efficiency.
  • Present financial analysis results clearly to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Conduct cost analysis to pinpoint inefficiencies and propose cost-reduction strategies.
  • Perform variance analysis to compare actual expenditures against budgeted figures and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques and software tools to analyze data and generate insightful financial reports.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the financial reporting framework and general ledger.
  • Execute monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Support the accounting manager in preparing detailed documents and interpreting complex financial data for various stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal audits of financial and operational processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of sales and use tax reports and manage inventory and standard costing.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries as required.
  • Provide accurate information for corporate sales tax return preparation.
  • Engage in special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of financial and cost accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with Oracle or NetSuite Accounting Software is advantageous. Experience with analytical tools such as Essbase, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, or OneStream is a plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA, CMA, or CFA credentials are preferred.
