At Grace Skilled Nursing & Therapy Norman, we are a compassionate care facility that acknowledges the importance of dedication and skill. The primary role of the Patient Care Assistant is to support residents with their daily living needs. The ideal candidate prioritizes the well-being of their residents above all else.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist residents with daily living tasks.
2. Serve meals to residents and ensure they have access to fresh water and additional nourishment throughout the day.
3. Aid residents with personal hygiene needs, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
4. Support mobility by helping residents turn, reposition, and move as needed.
5. Provide supplementary care, such as applying ice packs, changing non-sterile dressings, and assisting with therapeutic baths.
6. Monitor vital signs and accurately document daily information in resident charts.
Qualifications:
- Valid Patient Care Assistant certification.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.
