Duties

Serve in a developmental capacity in which the incumbent will receive assignments that are designed to develop their skills and knowledge until reaching the full performance level of Financial Analyst GS Work assignments are designed to continue and further develop the incumbent's range of duties and responsibilities.

  • Assist in the performance of financial analyses on business entities to evaluate credit transaction and monitor credit risk.

  • Assist with processing requests from business entities to allow for day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with preparing written materials to respond to requests and/or to provide information.

      Qualifications

      For the GS-09:

      OR
      Education: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Major study --- finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics or other fields related to the position. One year of full-time graduate education is 18 semester hours or the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. You MUST submit transcripts if qualifying based on this option.
      OR
      Combination: Combination of applicable education and experience as noted above. For example, an applicant who has 1.0 full year of Masters level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position. You must submit your college transcripts if qualifying based this option.

      For the GS-11:

      Experience: At least one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector that includes: (1) Performing financial analysis and evaluation of management structures, operations, and practices of corporate and other organizations; AND (2) Applying rules, regulations and policies to various situations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
