Top Skills :

  • 2 years of experience as an Inventory Specialist, Procurement Specialist, or Supply Management.
  • Experience with inventory management software (such as SAP) and procurement systems.
  • Candidates with 5 years or more of tire manufacturing experience will be considered over those with proven experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.

Job Description

  • Inventory & Purchasing Specialists administer and monitor operations of storeroom to ensure that parts, tools, and materials are available to operating production departments, with minimum loss of production at minimum cost. Drive team to success by monitoring and supporting department KPI’s.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Format and enter data in SAP. Coordinate with the Plant Engineering Staff to ensure data integrity throughout the system.
  • Help Plant Engineering in the setup, use and maintenance of the inventory module.
  • Assist, through history, the department manager in the creation of a department budget for all future maintenance activities.
  • Assist in spare part identification, sourcing, and ordering of parts for spare parts for inventory, emergency repair and machine rebuilds.
  • locations and enter all data into the SAP program.
  • Support technicians in looking up parts in SAP
  • Track inventory and notify manager of issue with inventory.
  • Process returns of spare parts to the proper storage location.
  • Handles all expedites and special orders for coded SAP materials for Maintenance and Engineering (procure parts and materials) when Maintenance and Production emergencies
  • Housekeeping of storeroom and repair areas.
  • Supervise / perform / organize ongoing storeroom inventories and cycle counts.
  • Maintain SAP-MM for inventory descriptions, locations, updates, specs, etc.
  • Monitor and report obsolete and end of life products to planner/scheduler, reliability engineers, and maintenance system managers.
