IT Specialist

Mobis North America, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking an IT Specialist to join the team in its R&D Center in Plymouth, Michigan.

Purpose:

Provide general computer, systems and infra support to all functional departments including production area. Administer desktop, laptop, and hardware inventory control. Manage and assign tasks to in-house outsourcing IT members. Diagnose equipment and configuration issues with a variety of applications.

Essential Duties:

• Provide general support for internal customers related with IT and Security
• Coordinate the IT department’s all activities and address any employee performance issues as needed.
• Support to manage all IT hardware installation.
• Monitor and support to resolve IT, Network issues.
• Support to plan IT strategy and policies.
• Investigate additional requirements and associated budget for new hardware and software
• Document problems reported and implemented solutions.
• Preserve the integrity of profiles and system configurations.
• Secure and refurbish un-used workstations.
• Document IT / OT Reports.
• Arrange for disposal of non-functional equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience in IT system in a corporate setting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft back office products like Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
• Ability to adhere to procedures and maintain accurate detailed records.
• Must also demonstrate commitment to solving user problems.
• Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and prioritize workload in a fast paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of server and network.
