Shipping and Receiving Specialist

9:00AM-5:00PM

Plymouth, WI

As the Shipping and Receiving Specialist you’ll be responsible for monitoring and maintaining finished goods, bulk inventory, and shipment records. Also responsible for coordinating and maintaining shipping schedule, investigating discrepancies, and assisting with inventory reporting.

  • Schedule inbound/outbound carrier appointments and follow up when issues arise.
  • Monitor carrier trailer assignments for Dropped Trailer Program (DTP).
  • Log drivers in/out and assign dock doors as directed. Review shipment documents for accuracy after departure.
  • Coordinate bulk shipments and transfers in storage.
  • Coordinate bulk cheese receipts and related paperwork for Masters Gallery Foods.
  • Coordinate and verify finished goods receipts and receive packaging materials.
  • Maintain Pallet Balance Program and associated activities.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Department for over-shipments or under-shipments to customers.
  • Assist Inventory Control and Warehouse Team with reporting and inventory discrepancies.
  • Scan documents into DocStar for retail resale inventory.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Operations Manager and/or the Executive Vice President.

What You Can Offer

  • Associate Degree in a general administrative area or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • One to two years of experience in shipping and receiving, data entry, warehouse, or a related area preferred.

  • Must have excellent mathematical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with consistent interruptions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems related to inbound/outbound carrier paperwork, pallets, and carrier appointments.
  • Excellent data entry skills and proficient use of a calculator.
  • Knowledge of the ERP system, and Microsoft Outlook & Office products.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal communications skills.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems.
  • Forklift certified or the ability to become certified.
  • Ability to travel between Plymouth and Oostburg locations.
