Job Description
RPS Events is searching for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team in the role of Senior Account Executive.
Position responsibilities:
Manage accounts that achieve over $1 million dollars in annual revenue.
Drive revenue through recognition and realization of opportunity with existing accounts.
Responsible for budget accountability for company and customers.
Provide interface between client, vendors, and production team.
Provided vision, creativity, and strategic guidance to our customers.
Design and produce a variety of elements for a wide range of events, including both corporate and social.
Lead internal cross departmental collaboration to meet client needs.
Project management of complex events ranging in size and scope, including:
o Development of proposals, contracts, creative decks, floorplans, and renderings as needed.
o Generate production schedules and coordinate other vendors, venues, and partners as needed.
o Oversight of ordering and custom production.
o Work onsite with the production crew to set up events and interface with clients and vendors.
o Oversight of project billing.
Position requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in a field related to assigned responsibilities and either a related
advanced degree or professional certification and five years of directly related and progressively responsible experience or any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the responsibilities.
● Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
● Ability and willingness to travel to job sites, venue visits, and client meetings.
● Willingness to acquire new skills and continue to develop professionally.
● Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
● Problem solving and critical thinking skills even when dealing with high-pressure situations or tight deadlines.
● Prepare and present information in an efficient and effective manner.
● Ability to collaborate and work creatively in a team setting.
● Ability to communicate clearly both internally and externally.
● Ability to work with a client to produce elements in line with their vision.
● Collaboration skills to work with a production crew on job sites.
● Proficiency with Microsoft suite, and the ability to quickly learn new software programs as required.
● Strong descriptive writing ability.
Additional skills (these are a plus, but are optional or can be trained):
● Ability to use CAD programs such as Sketchup to render decorative elements or event layouts.
● Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish).
- This is a full-time position with a salary range between $75 and $95-thousand, with bonus opportunities, PTO, health benefits, and 401K with matching available.
