The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our New Construction Mechanical division. This role will focus on building long-lasting relationships with clients, establishing the McKinstry brand in the fast-growing construction market, and driving business growth through strategic market strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead generation, customer service, proposal development, and customer acquisition
- Produce accurate estimates, assemble quality proposals, and demonstrate excellent written communication skills
- Build and own market strategies, including SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, and vertical market and horizontal offering strategies
- Analyze project potential, considering changing market conditions
- Stay up-to-date in the marketplace
- Partner with internal resources to ensure deliverables meet timelines and requirements
- Assist the Senior Account Executive with larger projects
- Coordinate with Business Unit Manager to ensure successful project execution
- Support clients with project financing and contracting issues
- Act as the client's single point of accountability
- Initiate and develop personal relationships with potential and existing clients
- Utilize McKinstry's tools and processes to support customer relationship strategies
- Demonstrated proficiency in all responsibilities of a Sales Engineer
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent business experience
- Five years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor, engineering firm, or vendor
- Two years of experience leading and closing sales
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates
- Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge of conceptual estimating preferred
