Inovar’s headquarters is in Irving, Texas with additional plants in California, Kansas, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, South Dakota and Wisconsin. We are actively looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team, based out of our Oceanside, CA location


Job Summary: The Human Resource Generalist supports the Director of Human Resources in managing daily HR operations across multiple locations. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and administrative tasks while promoting continuous improvement and efficient project management.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates in collaboration with General Managers/Department Managers.
  • Post job openings on external platforms as needed to attract suitable applicants.
  • Conduct background checks, drug screenings, and employment eligibility verifications.
  • Coordinate seamless onboarding for new employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of new hires and terminations in the Payroll/Benefits system.
  • Manage employee event planning and recognition programs.
  • Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Address employment-related inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for HR process improvement and take initiative to implement changes.
  • Participate in and oversee project management initiatives within the HR department.
  • Oversee monthly employee training programs using the ADP (HRIS) system.

  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems. Experience with ADP Workforcenow platform is a plus
  • Proactive self-starter with a drive to find opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Strong project management skills.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources roles, preferably in a Generalist capacity.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment.
  • 25% travel between company locations required as needed
