Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Director of Recycling Business Development to support a prestigious client in the industrial sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a keen eye for market expansion and a passion for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the U.S. region. As the Director of Recycling Business Development, you will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and other key leaders, driving strategic initiatives that contribute to the growth and expansion of the company’s portfolio. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate across various business units, including marketing, finance, sales, and operations, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the sustainability goals of strategic customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead due diligence efforts on acquisition targets to guide decisions with clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion and growth within the U.S., focusing on geographic expansion, new segments, acquisitions, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and business growth.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including potential investors, ownership groups, vendors, strategic partners, and customers.
  • Collaborate with legal advisors to negotiate contracts aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and assess potential business opportunities.
  • Analyze market data, industry trends, and competitor strategies to inform business development decisions.
  • Develop customized proposals and presentations tailored to prospective clients' needs.
  • Present value-driven proposals to potential clients, addressing questions and securing buy-in.
  • Work with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, finance, or sales, preferably in the industrial sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on financial modeling and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in project pricing, reporting, and proposal development.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. market and industrial project development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and recycling industries is a plus.
