The Vice President of Business Development Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our growing team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for attracting new clients and increasing wallet share with existing clients, identifying and managing company risk, identifying and researching opportunities, and preparing and delivering pitches or presentations to new potential clients.
Essential responsibilities and duties include:
- Work closely with company executives to win business with new clients and expand lines of business with current clients.
- Work with senior team members to identify and manage operational risks that might delay start of new projects.
- Identifying and researching opportunities that come up in new and existing markets.
- Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential new clients.
- Qualifying, modifying, and securing business opportunities for the company.
- Supervisory oversight of assigned staff members.
- Tracking KPIs and pipeline associated with driving topline of business.
- Assuming other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Travel to approximately 10 industry conferences per year
