  • Set up and install media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras. They also set up additional support AV tools like equipment racks. Additionally, complete electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction. Setup and alter room arrangements including tables, seats, and stages according to blueprints, layout diagrams, and schedules.
  • Must provide outstanding customer service and develop working relationships with their clients. Provide a high level of customer service. Have strong communication as a tool to keep project progress moving forward and put event coordinators at ease.
  • Skillfully run video, audio, and signal testing. Provide clients a high-quality experience. Technicians ensure all connected systems operate at peak performance. When issues arise, troubleshoot and adjust the AV system as required. Use objective analysis to spot issues and eliminate them before an event.
  • Ability to make Add, Move and Changes to new hires and departure. Basic Cisco Voip phone troubleshooting before escalation. Voicemail password reset.
  • Execute a flawless event from a media standpoint. Problem-solve and handle equipment malfunctions well, even under pressure and making sure their systems are working properly. When something goes wrong, ability to troubleshoot without showing concern to customers.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and tasks with reporting damages to their AV manager.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with audiovisual equipment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work well with a team while installing video and audio systems.
  • Must have good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure all equipment issues are resolved in a timely manner and functioning properly.
  • Lift 50 to 80 pounds individually, furthermore, standing, walking, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces is a common requirement for AV technicians.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface with customers and guests on-site.
  • Must be organized due to the tools, wiring, cables, and parts that must be methodically sorted and installed.
  • Must be comfortable using the following equipment in a typical workday: Audio and video equipment (cable boxes, AV receivers, media players, microphones, power speakers, mixers), IP network equipment (Ethernet and AVB cables) and Computer systems (macOS and PC operating systems).
