What We're Looking For:

  • Full or Part-time positions in adult inpatient and outpatient day program settings
  • Provide peer support to adults by sharing personal experiences and building trusting relationships
  • Offer support and guidance to adults receiving services from the organization
  • Promote the idea of recovery
  • Interact directly with consumers individually and in group settings
  • Help develop coping, problem-solving, and self-help skills
  • Assist in developing support systems and connecting consumers with peer support groups
  • Help consumers in developing empowerment skills and personal recovery plans
  • Assist staff in understanding the importance of recovery-based services
  • Participate as a member of the clinical team

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation within the City Metro area
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Lived experience in mental health or adult services/systems
