St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Housing Assignments and Office Specialist (Office Specialist VI). The position reports to the Assistant Director, of Housing and Administration and provides support in the coordination of housing assignments and reporting using StarRez for a 1,400-student residential community while overseeing the daily operations of the Department of Residence Life and ensuring its smooth functioning.
For consideration, Qualifications Include:
Minimum of two years of related experience working in an office environment or higher education; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in a university setting and/or student housing preferred
Previous office management experience preferred
Experience with StarRez and Banner preferred
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with others
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficient use of word processing and spreadsheet software such as Word and Excel
Well organized and able to prioritize assigned tasks
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Able to confidentially manage student information
Able to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
Motivated and capable of working independently; willingness to learn
Ability to work under pressure during peak periods and meet deadlines
Ability to comply with workplace guidelines and attendance requirements
Successful candidate must complete an employment and/or criminal history background check
