Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic manager to lead the strategic development of event programming for the ANA Nonprofit Federation and Center for Brand Purpose. This role involves crafting engaging themes, securing speakers, and developing agendas for an annual national nonprofit conference, regional nonprofit summits, brand purpose 1-Day events, training workshops, webinars, and committee meetings. Additionally, this position plays a crucial role in facilitating logistical arrangements and promotional activities for nonprofit and brand purpose events. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of proven experience in programming development, strong project management and communication skills, and a strategic mindset for driving educational impact. Work experience with nonprofit organizations and/or trade associations is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

Nonprofit Federation
  • Develop programming for the 2025 National Nonprofit Conference in Maryland.
  • Develop programming for regional 2-Day Nonprofit Growth Summits Conferences.
  • Develop programming for periodic webinars, including four virtual advocacy town halls featuring the ANA’s Government Relations team.
  • Develop programming for quarterly Nonprofit Organizations Committee meetings (1 in-person, 1 virtual, and 2 hybrid).
  • Develop and execute in-person nonprofit training programs.
  • Work with the Education and Planning Committee in the areas of event programming, educational opportunities, sponsorships, and networking.
  • Ensure all programming meets the ANA’s high quality standards.
  • Support the promotional efforts (email, social media) for all events.
  • Support and attend ANA Nonprofit Federation Advisory Council meetings as needed.
Center for Brand Purpose
  • Develop programming for 1-Day conferences and webinars.
  • Support cause marketing efforts as needed.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of event planning experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Highly motivated and organized self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, manage simultaneous projects, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across various teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service, including effective management and co-leadership of multiple committees.
  • Comfortable with A/V conference room technology.
  • Passionate about cause marketing and fundraising and keeping abreast of the latest news and trends.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, with familiarity in MS Teams, CMS systems, Zoom, SurveyMonkey, and Informz.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. (medium to light travel activity).
Salary and Total Rewards Package:
Starting pay range:  $55,000 to $60,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
