A supervisory position responsible for independently coordinating and directing complex and specialized clinic operational duties and staff. Accountable for the optimization of the clinic support service workflow. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the support processes and procedures required in support of a clinical department. Assists in formulating strategies for monitoring and assuring quality and quality improvement. Responsible for hiring and disciplinary processes in conjunction with the department manager. Performs annual performance evaluations. Actively participates on the Clinic Management Team.

The caregiver must be sufficiently fluent in the English language to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. The degree of fluency required will vary depending upon the nature of the position.
Caregivers are expected to honor the Mission, Values, Vision and Promise and adhere to the Code of Conduct, policies and standards of their organization.
For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.
Supervises office support staff. Insures adherence to department policies, procedures and processes.
Manages non-clinical office workflow functions in the areas of customer service, scheduling, patient registration, data entry and record management. Prioritizes workflow requirements and re-assign tasks as needed.
Maintains staffing schedules for support staff, coordinating requests for time off.
Makes hiring and disciplinary recommendations; initiates performance improvement as necessary and recommends change in status of employees supervised in accordance with established human resource standards.
Provides input for staff evaluations. Designs corrective action plans in conjunction with Employee Relations and clinic management.
Demonstrates a good understanding of the overall departmental operation, following departmental policies and procedures. Initiates new procedures as necessary to maintain or improve operational efficiency.
Orients new employees to clinic administrative operations, policies and procedures, and position assigned. Identify training needs of employees. Coordinates scheduling of education.
Functions as a steward of department resources (both labor and supplies). Manages daily operations within budgetary allowances. Provides input in the department budgeting process regarding staffing needs, capital requests, safety and physical plan requirements.
Performs at an expert level in all basic support functions. Possesses an in-depth knowledge of procedures and protocols.
Insures timely completion of Kronos, entering exception requests and approving timecards when appropriate. Completes attendance records for administration of dependability program.
Functions as initial contact for patients and providers with regard to support service issues (registration, billing and medical records). Insures timely completion of investigation and follow-through on concerns.
Serves as a role model and holds self and staff accountable for service excellence standards.
Functions as department resource for operation of general non-clinical office equipment, to include information technology. Coordinates maintenance and repair of such.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
5 years Front office experience in a medical clinic setting, with lead or supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:
