The House Supervisor RN is responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the medical center during assigned shifts, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Swedish Health Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts daily rounds to engage with nursing staff and ensure that patient care requirements are met effectively. Provides support to nursing personnel in delivering patient care and managing crisis situations.
- Addresses any concerns related to patient and family care with the Manager, supporting nursing staff in their advocacy roles and clarifying ethical or legal matters as necessary.
- Ensures appropriate patient placement and resource allocation for optimal care delivery. Collaborates with the Manager to achieve budgetary goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Provides ongoing feedback to the Manager regarding staff performance and competency, assisting in identifying educational needs and promoting professional development.
- Acts as a representative of Swedish Health Services to patients, visitors, and medical staff during the absence of executive management.
- Ensures the smooth operation of hospital services across all departments, adhering to professional and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrates leadership during emergencies and crisis situations, identifying opportunities for quality improvement.
- Participates in committee and administrative meetings relevant to the role, utilizing effective delegation and prioritization skills.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- A minimum of one year of Charge Nurse or leadership experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
