Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Dispatch Operations Clerk manages and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the division.

This is a full-time position that sits onsite at our Charleston division. The ideal candidate will have prior transportation experience. Administrative experience is required.

Day to Day of the position:

  • Answering the phone in a professional manner at all times.
  • Pulling the manifest for the next day from Vet Ride.
  • Entering the Rides into the system.
  • Setting up driver assignments in the system.
  • Scheduling the next day trips in Routing Box.
  • Entering completed trips into Vet Ride.
  • Ensuring that the Drivers' time sheet is turned into the Operations Manager daily.
  • Maintaining Vehicle files and inventory.
  • Monitor Drivers to ensure on time performance.
  • Make assignment changes during the day as necessary.
  • Assist Drivers in locating their pickups.
  • Assisting Passengers with ETA's of their pick up.
  • After hours phone coverage.
  • Weekend phone coverage.
  • Drive as necessary.
  • Any other Duties that are assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous office or administrative experience.
  • MS Office.
  • The ability to multitask.
