Position Description
  • Conduct daily verification and reconciliation of all dispatched vehicles against the system records.
  • Perform daily audits and report discrepancies to management.
  • Resolve discrepancies within a specified timeframe.
  • Review, amend, authorize, and export documented discrepancies promptly.
  • Generate daily reports comparing requested versus actual vehicle dispatches for upper management.
  • Compile weekly analysis of transportation activities to assess performance and identify issues.
  • Review, reconcile, and authorize invoices as designated.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations for transport providers.
  • Communicate essential information such as schedules and work orders between various stakeholders.

Engage in discussions with management and operational staff to address issues related to dispatch requests.

  • Maintain accuracy of dispatch software data, including pricing, units of measure, locations, and other critical data points.

Position Requirements

Computer skills: Proficiency in computer technology and the ability to learn company-specific software and access GPS tracking systems.

Analytical thinking: Ability to evaluate situations such as unexpected road closures and make informed decisions.

Interpersonal skills: Strong communication skills to interact with drivers, clients, and vendors, recognizing that their objectives may differ.

Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the transportation sector, including its regulations and standards, is essential for success in this role.
