Position Overview:

The Accounting Technician will be responsible for the daily verification and reconciliation of all dispatched vehicles, comparing actual data against system records in TicketPro. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting daily reviews and reporting on any discrepancies in ticketing to management.
  • Resolving missing tickets within a 48-hour timeframe.
  • Reviewing, correcting, approving, and exporting documented error tickets promptly.
  • Publishing daily reports on requested versus actual trucks received for upper management's review.
  • Preparing weekly trucking analyses to evaluate production and address any issues.
  • Reviewing, reconciling, and approving invoices as assigned.
  • Ensuring compliance for haulers.
  • Communicating schedules, work orders, and other messages effectively between drivers, foremen, and superintendents.
  • Collaborating with management to resolve issues related to requests or dispatches.

It is essential to maintain up-to-date and accurate dispatch software data, including pricing, units of measure, locations, and other critical data points.


Position Requirements:
Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in computer technology and the ability to learn company-specific software and access GPS monitoring systems.

Analytical Thinking:
  • Ability to assess situations, such as unexpected road closures, and determine the best course of action, whether to reschedule or redirect drivers.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for working with drivers, customers, and vendors, who may have differing objectives.

Industry Knowledge:
  • A solid understanding of the transportation industry, including relevant laws and regulations, is crucial for success in this role.
