Summary/Objective

The Service Operations Specialist is tasked with diagnosing electro-mechanical issues, executing installations, and conducting both unscheduled repairs and routine maintenance on equipment, tailored to customer requirements; all while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through courteous and professional interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Skillfully assesses problem scenarios related to customer equipment malfunctions and advises customers on necessary corrective actions.
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude and fosters positive relationships between the organization and clients by delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Observes, evaluates, and determines the appropriate corrective measures for servicing and repairing customer equipment.
  • Conducts essential repairs to rectify identified issues in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment for contracted clients in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and ensures proper disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Manages work orders with Dispatch, provides detailed service repair narratives (both written and verbal) for customers, and submits documentation for time worked and repairs completed in an organized, accurate, and timely fashion.
  • Ensures accountability for 100% of paid time.
  • Maintains inventory of parts and supplies in the service vehicle.
  • Keeps the service vehicle clean, organized, and free of hazards both inside and out.
  • Ensures regular maintenance is performed on the service vehicle (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations) and that necessary repairs are completed.
  • Executes factory-authorized modifications as per specifications.
  • Responsible for maintaining personal tools essential for performing the job effectively and safely.
  • Follows customer safety and housekeeping protocols while conducting repairs on-site.
  • Undertakes related duties as assigned or as circumstances require.
  • Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The employee may occasionally encounter extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly involves working near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, with hours of work typically being Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
