The Strategic Solutions Coordinator will work with vendor partners (UBA Alliances) to improve their value to UBA Partner Firms. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Solutions and working with an internal staff team and committees of volunteers from the partnership, the individual in this role will support initiatives designed to highlight innovative solutions and improve awareness of UBA's vetted portfolio of products and services across the organization. This role benefits from an understanding of, and experience in, the employee benefits industry. Attention to detail, excellent communication and customer service skills, project management, proficiency in numerous technology platforms and a can-do attitude are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with facilitation and support of the following committees: Carrier Alliance and Self-Funding.
    • Schedule committee and quarterly touch base calls
    • Record and disseminate minutes of meetings
    • Track projects and assist in developing agendas for meetings.
  • Ensure agreements and engagement letters are signed annually and tracked in appropriate systems
  • Assist with the collection and maintenance of financial reporting from Carrier Alliances
  • Serve as knowledgeable resource for our Partner Firms on Carrier Alliance services and offerings related to employee benefits
  • Serve as the primary leader in developing various surveys within UBA to gather feedback from UBA Partner Firms and Alliances.
    • Develop surveys, request feedback from the team and modify accordingly
    • Test the functionality of surveys
    • Analyze the data and report on survey findings
  • Support the Director of Strategic Solutions to ensure the coordination of the speakers, content, and logistics for Alliance and self-funding sessions at UBA Conferences and webinars.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of sponsorships of conferences and educational programs
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for revenue growth
  • Support the Director of Strategic Solutions in building enduring relationships with UBA's Alliances, positioning UBA as a significant contributor to their overall success
  • Manage ad hoc projects as needed
  • As UBA has a small staff of approximately 15 professionals, other duties may be assigned from time to time to contribute to the overall support and growth of the organization and to backfill other staff who may be out. This includes responding to Partner inquiries and needs in a proactive, professional, courteous, and timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related degrees, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in the employee benefits industry is preferred - preferably at a brokerage firm or insurance carrier
  • Intermediate level proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Planner and Teams
  • Strong ability to learn technology / software. Experience with CRMs is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail is essential
  • B2B client service/ account management experience a plus
  • Must be self-motivated, work well independently, enjoy collaborating with a virtual team and possess a high desire to learn, grow and add value
  • Proven to be flexible and adaptable to quickly shift priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel to conferences 1-2 times per year, which may include evening and weekend work
