Project44 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Workplace Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for leading local facilities operations, employee experience, and culture-building efforts at our global headquarters in Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management:
    • Site Maintenance: Ensure the office is well-maintained and coordinate repairs to keep it in peak condition.
    • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement protocols for emergency preparedness.
    • Vendor Management: Coordinate external vendors to perform services such as janitorial, food and beverage, security, plants, and utilities.
    • Budgeting Management: Manage, track, and help create local facilities operations budget.
    • Sustainability: Implement and promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices within the workplace.
    • Space Management: Oversee local space allocation, utilization, and planning.
    • Landlord Management: Work closely with the site's property manager to ensure operational alignment.
    • Furniture and Ergonomics: Support the office's ergonomic needs and maintain office furniture.
    • Janitorial Management: Partner with property management and external vendors to ensure a high level of site cleanliness.
    • Food and Beverage: Assist in implementing a revamped snack, drink, and food program that meets the office's evolving needs.
    • Project Support: Support the Global Facilities Operations Manager on a range of long-term and short-term projects and initiatives.
  • Employee Experience:
    • Team Member Experience: Enhance the overall team member experience by supporting a comfortable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing workspace.
    • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and office stakeholders to identify and execute local business priorities.
    • Communications: Communicate important updates, announcements, and workplace policies to employees using internal channels.
    • First contact for all office needs.
  • Culture and Events:
    • Events and Culture: Plan and execute creative events and experiences that build a strong local culture.
Requirements and Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, workplace operations, or employee experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or an additional four years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written language and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and wellness-focused certifications such as WELL and LEED.
  • Strong background of using a wide range of technologies and software.
