About the role: We are seeking a Business Development Lead to support our company's growth. In this role, you will provide a proactive and organized approach to support the acquisition of federal contracts and new business for HyerTek.

Position: Business Development Lead

Location: This is a remote position, but candidates must be in the Washington D.C. metro area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use platforms such as Sam.Gov, eBuy, and GovTribe, to research opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategies to secure government contracts.
  • Maintain and update client information within our CRM to ensure effective communication and management of relationships.
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline.
  • Be prepared to carry individual quota on key agency targets supported by HyerTek, including all DoD agencies, HHS, VA, and select civilian targets.
  • Perform market and competitor analysis to allow leadership to make informed, strategic decisions related to business pursuits.
  • Help prepare proposals and presentations that meet requirements and budget considerations.
  • Participate in industry conferences and networking events to enhance professional skills and industry knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • 2+ years in government IT consulting in a sales or business development role
  • Broad familiarity with technology trends and federal government technology purchasing patterns
  • Basic understanding of federal procurement processes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with GovWin, GovTribe, Sam.gov, FPDS, and USA Spending strongly preferred
